GRPI Staff

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa. Prior to joining the Gambling Research and Policy Initiative as a project manager, Meardon spent over 20 years in the banking industry, with extensive experience in both retail and commercial banking. His primary duties included risk mitigation, compliance, employee training, process documentation, and process improvement. Chris is married with 3 children, and lives in Greenville, NC.

Latasha Lynn Cobb has dedicated her career to the legal field, serving as a former Assistant Deputy Clerk of Court and Paralegal. With a wealth of experience in managing the intricacies of the court system, Latasha has honed her skills in legal research, document preparation, and case management. Her dedication to the legal profession is evident in her meticulous approach and commitment to justice. In March 2024, Latasha joined the Gambling Research and Policy Initiative, further expanding her professional horizons and contributing her expertise to the organization. Beyond her professional life, Latasha is passionate about social justice, substance abuse advocacy, spending time with family and friends which she finds both fulfilling and inspiring. Originally from Chocowinity, North Carolina, she brings a unique perspective and a wealth of knowledge to her role. Latasha is known for her unwavering integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to navigate complexities with ease. She is currently enrolled at ECU seeking a graduate certificate in Addiction Prevention and Treatment Studies.
